Don't forget to roll for Stupid

Here is the latest and stupidest of units I have had the pleasure of painting to date. A trip to Ashburn, Virginia for Oldhammer day USA provided much-needed motivation for painting the masses of ranks of my Night Goblin army.

They provide some much needed punch to an army of puny goblins. I did a lot of the work on these guys with the trusty airbrush (Badger Patriot), and as my reliance on this wonderful tool increases, I'm thinking of upgrading to the next level airbrush this Christmas. I've had the airbrush for 2 years and, despite what I have read, I haven't encountered any major problems with it. It gets a lot of the basic layering work done, and sets me up nicely for more detailed work with the paintbrush. One thing I have learnt by trial and error is the level of 'thinness' required to achieve good results with the airbrush (basically, whenever I think that the paint looks thin enough, I thin it just a little bit more).

My basement is currently a disaster, but I will try and get a group shot of the way the army is coming along thus far.

  2. Nice. I bought these figs off of Blue about a year ago. I need to paint them up. I'm in the same boat, my stuff is all over the place, hard to keep projects going or start new ones when you hve to dig for everything.

  4. Thanks for the comments. Agree that trolls should be part and parcel of the goblin army. Love the dopey models and their unpredictability fits right in with that of the goblins

  6. Thanks Andrew. My trip to Oldhammer day this year was not very organized. Plan to enter something next year though
