Vampires on the field

Arkhan waited until the dead of night before ordering the advance on Mallenheim, one of the last surviving strongholds of mankind. Then, in one burst of extrasensory energy, he simultaneously transmitted his orders to the undead hiding in the woods. Some of the more recently dead emerged from the dirt beneath the forest trees, flesh loosely hanging off their rotting bones like skin on an over-ripe fruit. Groans filled the air as the spirits of tortured spectres materialized at the forefront of the undead battle line. The rhythm of dead limbs marching in perfect synchrony marked the death toll of the slumbering inhabitants of Mallenheim

Backed up by a giant terrorgheist, the vampires emerge from a forest in the midst of the midnight gloom

Well, the new Nighthaunt army has rekindled my love of the Vampires. While I have no desire to play Age of Sigmar, I must say that those models are looking quite tasty. Before I convince myself that I need to buy more plastic, let's focus on the task at hand and present some pictures of the army as it stands. As you can tell, I've had some fun manipulating the images to look more 'spooky'. What are your thoughts?

Front and center, the blood knights lead the charge backed up by the necromancer Arkhan the Black

The black coach advances, protected by a massive unit of ghouls. "Brains, brains ..."

Heavy support is provided by the black knights, mounted vampires (used as giant bats) and the grave guard

Stay tuned for more pictures of the individual units ...

  4. Looking good Anthony, I like the spookified pics. You might try playing with the lighting or lighting effects to tone down the flash.
