It’s remarkable what an effect the model’s base has on the overall look and feel of the miniature. I’ve been recently rebasing my 40k orks to 32mm desert-themed bases, to match the rest of my army. Pictures of the old basing scheme can be found here, although the gang has multiplied somewhat since those formatory days :)
